It's Nutrisystem Harvest Nut Bar for breakfast day! This bar is tiny but packs a lot of flavor, good texture and it little sweetness from the fruit in the bar. I served it with my usual cup of black coffee. I decided on the bar for breakfast because I have a more "hearty" lunch planned.
Around 10ish I headed out for a walk and did a close-by 1 mile circuit which includes a rather challenging hill. I used to walk this all the time and it felt good to get out there again. I've clocked in 3075 steps so far. I have to beat yesterday's numbers. When I returned I frothed up my usual Nutrisystem Chocolate Turbo Shake.
This afternoon I selected the Nutrisystem Red Beans and Rice for lunch. I forgot how much I liked this. I typically don't care for the MRE's in pouches so much. What I like about this is that it has a nice spicy flavor AND the rice is al-dente, not mushy! This is a major plus for me. It also includes a few bits of spicy chicken sausage. I just followed it with a glass of water. I should have had some vegetables but, again, I'm lazy.

I wasn't too crazy about my entree pick today; the Nutrisystem Chicken Alfredo. This pretty much combines everything I don't like in a dish like, lacks flavor, soft, overcooked pasta and "white" colorless food. I tried to doll it up with a little fresh parsley. I ate it all, slowly but I ate it. Getting real hungry would not help my cause. I did make a quick field greens salad with some fresh tomatoes and a little balsamic vinegar.
Wow, so close and yet so far; I ALMOST made my 10k step goal. I took two separate walks about a mile each then with my normal activity and one more little spin around the block after dinner. This is the most I've walked for awhile. With the exception of dinner, the foods were pretty good. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
