Nutrisystem Start (originally): August 21, 2016 Today: Monday, April 2, 2018 Total Steps 6941 Gym day Total Calories: Not tracked Water Intake: Not tracked Weight Loss: The first year, 2016-2017 I lost 30lb. I checked in December 7, 2017 and I'd gained 3.1lbs. Now, 1 year and 8 months later I've crept up a total of 9.6lb. Oops!
Let this be a lesson to you all. If you stop doing the healthy living, managing your weight basics you will most like grain weight, and maybe even gain in all back. The basics are, keep a journal of what you eat, watch your portion sizes, and move as much as you have time to do.
So today, on this Monday, April 2, 2018 I'm back on Nutrisystem to get these pounds that have crept up OFF. Oh, and by the way, I'm not restarting on the Turbo13 which includes 1 week of boot camp.
If you've read any of my Nutrisystem or Healthy Living blogs then you probably know I work out 3 x a week at the gym. I kept my breakfast brief but on-track. I had a Nutrisystem Buttermilk Waffle with 1 teaspoon butter and a little fake maple syrup. I scramble one egg. I downed it all with black coffee.
As for the gym I'm not trying to train for a marathon, or become a lifter of weights but I do want to keep my body strong and as fit as possible. That said I headed out to the gym promptly at 7am. It's always amazes me. It was 46F out walking to the gym. After 20 minutes there I'm sweating, even with no heat in the building and doors wide open. I guess that's a good sign that I'm getting some benefit.
I reverted to my old tradition of making a Nutrisystem Turbo Shake after gym. I'm glad I had something because I had a bunch of "moving of stuff" to do and I needed the energy.
By the time those morning chores were over I realized I was pretty hungry. I didn't have a lot of lunch choices so I did select a Nutrisystem Steak and Cheese Melt. This is still one of the better melts they have to offer. I followed it with some ice water.
Once those chores were done I made it to my desk, time for "office stuff". About 2:30 I stopped for a snack. I had 1/2 of a Honeycrisp apple and 1 tablespoon chunky peanut butter. I wasn't crazy about the combo mostly because the sweetness of the two foods just didn't quite jive. I'll try a different peanut butter, or maybe a green apple, less sweet? So far I've not made it out for another walk, it could still happen.
I have a lot of Nutrisystem foods I purchased a few months ago I have to use up. Tonight it's a Nutrisystem Italian Sausage and Turkey Pepperoni Pizza (I'm cooking for 2 of us).
I went right for one of my faves, the Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake. These are great with coffee but I can't drink coffee in the evening unless I want to be awake all night.
Day one, so far so good! I'll keep you up today on how I do from here.
