I don't like having just a meal replacement bar before gym. My only option was a protein shake or to eat my dinner, which was to be stew, for breakfast. At 6 a.m. my stomach was not ready for stew. I opted for the highest protein bar, the Nutrisystem Nutricrush Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar and some coffee. This is the bar that is typically my afternoon snack bar. I headed out for the gym.
I had to leave for a quick couple hours out of town but I showered then had my Nutrisystem Turbo Chocolate Shake (1/2 portion). Then I headed out.
I returned just at lunch time, none too soon as I was pretty hungry. I grabbed for the Nutrisystem Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bar. There aren't really huge differences, flavor wise from bar to bar. Again, if you're hungry, anything will taste pretty darn good. I had it with another cup of coffee (I really need to cut back on coffee). For some reason I didn't get a pic of this yesterday so I pulled in an old one I took months ago.
I got some work done at my desk then decided I really wanted my snack. Today it was the Nutrisystem Trail Mix Bar. These taste pretty good. They are filling for a couple of hours which was enough to get me through to dinner. After my snack I did get another walk in to make sure I could get my 10k in for the day, which I did.
Dinner tonight was a repeat of my salad from last night as I had more of the same ingredients. Additionally I heated a tub of Nutrisystem Hearty Beef Stew. It was more hearty potato stew but the flavor was OK and I was very hungry. The salad was delish as usual.
The gym didn't seem quite as difficult today but my energy is certainly suffering a little. I'm glad I got my full 10k steps in because I seem to keep having reasons to not walk on my non-gym days. Mostly I dislike going out in the cold or rain for a walk. I guess I just need to toughen up. This week is on the home stretch; see you tomorrow!
