I don't have gym today so I decided to have one of the breakfast bars provided as part of my week one on Nutrisystem Turbo 13 plan. I've had all these foods before but for some reason having them for the first time in a long time makes it like a new experience Today I had the Nutrisystem Chocolate Chip Baked Bar. I don't recall if I liked this before but I did this time. I was pretty hungry this morning which always helps but the fact is the bar had a pleasant flavor and some "crispy bits" inside that I enjoyed. I had my usual couple of cups of coffee.
After breakfast I had some desk work to do, then an appointment to attend. Before leaving for the appointment I prepared my daily Nutrisystem Chocolate Turbo Shake. Actually I shared it so I only had a half portion. I headed out for 1 errand and my appointment knowing I'd probably be pretty hungry by the time I returned.
For whatever reason it seems this first week has a lot of "bar" meals. I guess I could have had a salad first, then the bar after. In my universe I could not pair a salad and a meal replacement bar together. Nevertheless I selected the Nutrisystem Fudge Graham Bar for lunch. Given my hunger I tried to eat it slowly so it might be more filling. I topped it off with a cup of coffee. I did head out for a walk albeit a short one and would end up being the only one for the day.
After my short walk I came back home at ate my Nutrisystem Nutricrush Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar. I was glad to have had something else to eat.
I had more work at the office so when I looked up it was time for dinner. I made my typical field greens salad with some red bell pepper and scallions, 1 teaspoon olive oil and some balsamic vinegar. I served this with a Nutrisystem Ravioli With Meat Sauce entree. This is an "MRE" in a tray. There was about 5 ravioli and more than enough sauce. I topped mine with some red pepper flakes. I could have made more squash or perhaps some steamed spinach, but, I didn't. The salad is always the high point of the meal for meal. I was pretty hungry so although I might not otherwise ever eat those ravioli they tasted pretty good.
I was pretty busy all day and the meals though small were welcome. I didn't even get close to my step goal. No excuses, we make time for what we want to do. I heard someone say recently when you skip your exercise you have made a conscience decision to be sedentary. I did that today. Tomorrow is gym so "no excuses.
