Here's an image of all my Nutrisystem foods for today. Of course I add some fresh vegetables to this.
Gym is early, 7a.m. I selected a Nutrisystem Blueberry Muffin for breakfast which I had with my normal 2 cups of coffee. Nutrisystem suggests you curtail exertive exercise on this week one but I just can't get myself to do that. I of course paid the piper when I tried working out today. Needless for say it was very difficult. I just lacked the energy. I did my best and made it out alive.
Typically I'd have my Nutrisystem Chocolate TurboShake after gym but I had a dentist appointment to rush to. Nothing like back-to-back commitments! I'll either have it when I get back or later on in the day.
I walked back from the dentist and I as I suspected I'd be, I was HUNGRY. I skipped my shake or my protein bar and went straight to lunch even thought it was just 11:30ish. I heated a Nutrisystem Chicken Noodle Soup. It's a simple heat and serve thing and it really tasted good. It pays to be really hungry to make things taste better than they may otherwise taste. I fixed my now "usual" field greens salad, a little balsamic vinegar and less than a teaspoon of olive oil. I wolfed both down. After that I had to get to my desk.
This was more like "barely after noon" snack. About 30 minutes after lunch I wanted some coffee. I made a fresh pot then had a cup and remembered my Nutrisystem Nutricrush Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar. That went nicely with my cup of coffee.
Tonight I'm having the BBQ Seasoned Chicken. This is very "icky" looking but it doesn't taste all that bad. It's supposed to be served on a "small whole wheat dinner roll". I have no dinner rolls in the house, much less a small whole wheat dinner roll. I plopped it on top of a slice of Dave's Killer big seed whole wheat skinny bread. I had some squash to use up so I cooked my squash with a little cooking oil spray and added about 1 tsp butter to the pan after it was cooked. NO I should not have butter.
I hit the sidewalk after to dinner to make sure I got all my steps in. Although I have a pretty healthy appetite I do wonder how people with larger appetites fare this first week. I suspect they probably do more fresh "filler" vegetables. Also if you can tolerate those ultra low-cal dressings you could use a lot of that too. The good news about being pretty hungry is the food tastes better. I have meetings and appointments tomorrow. See you all then!
