With Thanksgiving just behind us I planned ahead and ordered a month's worth of Nutrisystem. My weight is up 6lb and it's easy to pack on extra weight during the holiday season. So, here we go again!
I sorted out my Turbo 13 meals into 3 baskets. Breakfast/Lunch, Dinners, Snacks. I did a quick paw-through the breakfast selections and pulled out a Nutrisystem Cinnamon Streusel Muffin. I gave it a few second heat in the microwave and served it with my morning cup of coffee.
So if you're not familiar with the Turbo 13 plan here are the basics. You get 1 breakfast, lunch and dinner entree, 1 turbo shake and 1 Nutricrush bar for snacks. You can add non-starchy vegetables as you wish. Additionally you're supposed to drink 8, 8oz glasses of water a day, or more.
I usually like a Turbo Shake for morning snack but decided to try the bar instead. I think I like the shake better, earlier. This is the Nutrisystem Nutricrush Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar. I just didn't find it that filling.
I haven't shopped for vegetables yet, I'll do that tomorrow. So lunch was a lonely little bowl of Nutrisystem Beans and Ham Soup. I should have had a salad with it but, but. I did doctor it up a little with some Tabasco sauce and freshly ground pepper.
Given I had my Nutricrush bar for lunch I had my Nutrisystem Turbo Chocolate Shake for my afternoon snack. I did just return from a walk into town and back and I was a little hungry so it hit the spot.
I spent a good part of the afternoon in the yard. We have some rain due it tomorrow and the more leaves we get picked up the better it will be. I did some weeding too but it's a futile task in the winter in our area.
I selected a Nutrisystem Italian Flatbread Pizza for dinner. I was pretty hungry. I had some squash and green beans but neither of those sounded good with pizza. I topped my little pizza with some extra Italian seasoning, yellow onion, chopped, and some red pepper flakes. It tasted pretty decent. I had a glass of water, then a glass of iced coffee afterwards.
My meals wouldn't have won any culinary awards but I stayed reasonably satiated all day. I also stayed busy which helps. I can suffer from "boredom hunger". I got all my 10k steps in. Everyone is healthy and happy, life is right! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I'll be checking in again tomorrow.
