Today is going to be even hotter than yesterday. I heated a Nutrisystem Cinnamon Streusel Muffin and ate it along with a couple of cups of strong black coffee. I headed out for a walk about 8:30, about the latest I could leave without hitting too much heat. I walked for over 45 minutes.
After my walk I had a stick of light string cheese and about 2 teaspoons of left over tuna salad.
I'm going to visit some friends in the evening so I'm making a nice nutritious lunch so hopefully I can resist eating things I should not. I decided to grill a small steak and steam more green beans. I also picked greens and radishes from the garden for a salad (cherry tomatoes were store-bought).
Clearly no afternoon snack was needed.
It's a very hot day so my friends did a nice platter of cold cuts with some cold salads as sides. We had some Acme whole wheat French Bread that was wonderful.
We supplied a Dutch Apple Pie from our local very good bakery.
It was a nice evening out with old friends. Even though it was hot we dined outside on their newly remodeled patio. I managed to meet my step goal for the day which is always a reward. I hope you all are having a good weekend, see you Sunday!
