I'm feeling rudderless. I feel the same way I used to feel after finals week was over in college. I've had a few major projects that started back in March and I just finished them up and I have yet to mentally regroup. Meanwhile I fixed a bowl of yogurt, Nutrisystem Granola Cereal and some fresh blueberries.
I had a couple errands to do, including my walk so I skipped snack time.
I didn't feel like putting much effort into lunch so I heated a Nutrisystem Turkey Pot Pie Melt. This one didn't taste as good as the first, not sure why. It's so "white", white crust, white sauce, white turkey meat and really not a vegetable to be seen.
I got hungry a couple hours after lunch. To appease my hunger I ate a 1" cube of sharp cheddar cheese and one stick of light string cheese.
I was in the mood for a simple home cooked meal. I roasted some chicken thighs with my fave mixture of ancho powder, garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, and a little cayenne. I also top them with sesame seeds. I actually planned ahead a little and picked some lettuce from the garden early so it had time to chill. I picked a few radishes too.
While the chicken was roasting I went out and harvested the very first batch of green beans. I also prepped my salad with some fresh avocado and a little Gorgonzola.
I felt pretty full after dinner so I skipped an evening snack.
I guess one walk is better than no walk at all (barely). I'm pleased with my meals for the day. Tomorrow it's back to the gym and hopefully I'll mentally regroup so I don't feel so rudderless. Hope you all are having a good week!
