I had some tests today so I had to skip breakfast.
My appointment wore on, still unable to eat.
Morning fasting makes for quick blog writing. Of course I'm crazy hungry by now. I let my husband talk me into (his fault haha) splitting a burger at our very favorite burger place in town. I have not had one of these for over a year. I had 1/2 of a Swiss Burger and 1/2 of a small bag of French Fries.
I was full from lunch so I didn't eat a snack.
I wanted a civilized dinner so I heated a Nutrisystem Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast. I also made a small side salad with some red cabbage I found in the bottom of the vegetable bin. I also sauteed mushrooms using my almost-non-fat method.
Even though dinner was nicely filling I got hungry later in the evening so I raided the jar of raw cashew nuts. This netted me about 300 calories. OUCH
If not for the burger and the extra cashews I'd have had a pretty nutritious day. At least I only ate half of that burger. In most cases, most restaurant portions are plenty for 2 and sometimes even more. I believe most of us would be thinner if we just ate half of what we are served. Ok, off my soapbox.
