In case you're not paying attention, my weight is up, way up, well almost 3 lbs up from my lowest. So when you read today's blog entry I guess you'll figure out why. Today is Saturday so we ventured off the beach for some breakfast and a walk.
Being the creatures of habit that we are, we went to our fave spot and had our usual baguette with a little salami and cheese. As usual I only ate half and I removed half of the bread. Technically these are Ficelle sandwiches which refers to these thin loaves of bread.
That would have been not bad had I not had about 3 good sized bites of this which was my husband's Napoleon.
After breakfast I took a nice walk along the beach and back. It included a LONG uphill staircase which I hate (and love all at the same time). I got over 7,000 steps in. There were no morning snack opportunities.
I had some shopping to do after the beach walk. When I finally got back home it was past time for lunch so I ate the other half of my breakfast baguette, minus 1/2 of the bread.
For a snack I tried some new salty, thin, baked crackers with "some" cheese, probably at least an ounce and a half. The crackers were Firehook Baked Sea salt Crackers. One ounce which is 1/8 of the package is 100 calories, not real bad.
I heated a Nutrisystem Roasted Turkey Medallions with Mashed Potatoes entree and prepped a field greens salad with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, kosher salt and pepper. I added about 2 teaspoons of butter on my potatoes.
It's not like I was starving but I decided to enjoy a Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae + 3 Hershey's nuggets + some walnuts on sundae. My compulsion for chocolate and nuts is getting the better of me.
Today was another day of several culinary missteps. If there was good news to be had I did exceed my step goal for the day. Excesses notwithstanding, I had a good Saturday. I'll check in again tomorrow. Have a good one!
