I was too lazy to cook anything so I had a about 1/2 cup of Fage 2% Greek Yogurt and about 1/4 cup of fresh blueberries. I also had a bag of Nutrisystem Biscotti Bites. This should be enough to sustain me through my workout.
When I got back from the gym I made myself the Nutrisystem Chocolate TurboShake. These have really grown on me and I do like them quite a lot.
I've had my nose buried in writing this afternoon. I took a short break for a quick (and I mean REAL quick) lunch. I had a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread, 3 thin slices of Toscano salami (about 1/2 oz) and a little mayo. I also had a very thin slice of avocado.
I headed out for a walk after lunch. When I got back I had a couple more slices of Toscano and a glass of iced coffee (black).
I walked into town for an "appetizer" dinner out. We went early so we'd get back home before the Cinco de Mayo revelers took over downtown. We shared three little plates: Lamb taco, Mushroom empanada, and an Angus beef slider.
This is the little lamb taco. Small and very tasty!
This was the little empanadas. They were stuffed with mushrooms and brillat savarin cheese.
These sliders were just a few bites each but very flavorful. We each had 1.
Once I got home I plopped myself on the sofa to watch some TV. I eventually got a little hungry and had about 1/2 ounce raw cashews.
The gym was brutal today as usual and with a couple extra walks I exceeded my step goal. I enjoyed my Friday night dinner splurge, the rest of the day my meals were small and civilized. I look forward to the weekend. See you all then!
