Even the first time around on the Nutrisystem 1st week I didn't care for the meal replacement bars for breakfast, particularly on gym day. No gym today so I had a Nutrisystem Harvest Nut Bar with my coffee for breakfast.
I had my usual TurboShake in chocolate for my snack.
I have my meals for this first week separated in bags. I just stuck my hand in the bag and selected whatever I touched first. I heated the Nutrisystem Loaded Potato. I think it tasted a little better than the first time I tried it. I had more red cabbage so I chopped it, added some kosher salt and pepper and a little of the Bolthouse Greek Yogurt blue cheese dressing for a little salad.
I had my Nutrisystem NutriCrush Peanut Butter Chocolate Bar with some iced coffee.
The Nutrisystem Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza sounded good. I doctored it up a little with some additional Italian seasoning, 1 tablespoon grated fresh Parmesan cheese and some fresh sliced button mushrooms. Once it was baked I added some hot chile flakes. I sauteed a little broccolini with a small amount of olive oil and a couple cloves of garlic. It tasted pretty good.
This is my little uncooked Italian Herb Flatbread Pizza on the pan, ready for five minutes in the oven.
The serving size is small but it's flavorful and plenty when served with the broccolini.
I guess I could have a snack of some fresh vegetables but I don't have much in the refrigerator now so I'll pass for tonight.
I made it out for a couple walks today so I met my 10k step goal I went a little over on calories because I added olive oil to the broccolini and a little fresh Parmesan cheese to the flatbread pizza. I think its a reasonable sacrifice to keep the meals the most palatable. We'll see what the scale has to say tomorrow.
