Due to a scheduling conflict I had to go to the gym really early. And due to sleeping too late, I had to wake up, guzzle a cup of coffee and get something reasonably healthy in me before rushing out the door. I resorted to yet another open face, chicken sandwich. My usual, with a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread, mayo, kosher salt and pepper. This was destined to be "one of those days". We were "3" at the gym, all of us complaining about lack of sleep. The trainer came in limping (never a good sign) he apparently started up some basket ball team and evidently whacked out his knee on the first night. At least we could each commiserate in our own way.
I got to my appointment on time and back to my desk by 11. I made myself a fresh pot of coffee and enjoyed with a tablespoon of real cream.
For the lack of anything else in the house I made up a batch of tuna salad. I don't mean to imply I don't like it because I do; its just that I eat it pretty often. I had a half sandwich with a couple of leaves of Belgium endive with crumbled blue cheese.
It's almost 4:00 and no snack so far. Don't think I have a lot to select from. See what I can figure out.
I never did figure out a snack but I went out for an "appetizer" meal. My husband and I shared a charcuterie plate.
I know it was not a good idea but I shared a few bites of my husband's bourbon pecan bread pudding with creme fraiche. Another time and I could have eaten the whole thing, but I was tempted.
I'm glad I went to the gym today, even if I didn't feel like it. I got a short walk in just short of 2 miles, way under my 10k goal. Tomorrow is a new day. See you then. I received tracking info on my order so I'll be restarting Nutrisystem Boot Camp soon!
