Clearly I'm taking in too many calories. I'm still 2.1lbs up from my lowest. Exercise is great for overall health but you can't make up for eating too many calories or too many of the wrong carbs.
With that in mind I made a simple breakfast with a focus on proteins. I scrambled one egg and served it a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread. Additionally I spooned out about 1/3 cup low fat cottage cheese and topped with a few (almost petrified) blackberries.
After breakfast I finally made it out for a walk into town to the farmer's market and grabbed a few provisions for the week. When I got back I seemed overly hungry. I made a half sandwich, Dave's Killer skinny bread, 1 teaspoon mayonnaise, 1 1/2 slices Toscano and one string cheese stick. Now it's back to chores. I'll have to make it out for at least one more walk because I'm only at about 5700 of the needed 10k for the day.
I'm not sure where this day went but lunch never did happen. I did get some shopping done so I decided to get dinner ready early.
I merged my snack with dinner. I peeled the leaves off a Belgium endive and put some Greek Yogurt Blue Cheese Dip in a bowl. I also had some excellent Castelvetrano olives.
I kept dinner real simple. I grilled a steak, steamed some green beans and added a little crumbled blue cheese to some of my endive. The steak was great!
I had plenty to eat so I skipped dessert.
I'm glad I walked early because I got totally lazy in the afternoon. I don't like skipping meals but sometimes it just works out that way. Dinner was great and I' m glad I ate it early -- more time to digest the steak. Hope you are all ready for Monday. See you then!
