It's gym day and I'm heading in early. Breakfast was small. I put about a half of a cup of Fage 2% Greek Yogurt in a bowl, topped it with half a small banana and a few walnuts. This gives me lots of protein for my workout.
I dumped about an ounce of raw cashew nuts in a cup and had that as my snack. A few minutes later I had about 6 raw almonds.
I'm not sure where the day went but I totally missed lunch. Actually I had errands and thought I'd have lunch while I was out. Plans changed and lunch did not happen.
I decided given lunch was skipped I'd just have an early dinner.
Somehow I was still on a fried chicken kick. I headed up the street for the best fried chicken in town. I was served a half chicken breast, a chicken thigh and some beans. I ate about 3 tablespoons of the beans and the chicken thigh. I was still hungry and had a few bites of the chicken breast. I took the rest home for another meal.
Well, I didn't need a dessert but this is some good food. I had one of these wonderful beignets. My husband had 2 and the rest went home for an indulgence for another day.
I guess not one of my more healthy eating days. I do a decent job of portion control which would be great if I were on maintenance. I just need to get down to the next level. I did get one small walk in after the gym but not enough to make my 10k step goal. There is a weekend ahead. Hope you all have a great one!
