I made a simple egg and cheese breakfast muffin using one small egg, scrambled and 1/2 ounce cheddar cheese and 1/2 of a light whole wheat English muffin. I served it with 1/2 small banana, sliced.
For my snack I had one stick of low fat string cheese and 1/2 ounce of raw cashew nuts.
I'm still working my way through Nutrisystem lunches so I heated a Nutrisystem Grilled Chicken Sandwich and served with some salad greens with my usual balsamic, olive oil and kosher salt.
Cashew nuts are so handy. I had one ounce and about 3 walnut halves. Nuts are very good for you but shocking high in calories due to their fat content.
I made a taco salad for dinner. Back in the before diet (BD) days I would eat a portion that was probably double the size of what I ate. I used only about 1/4 cup of lower fat ground beef, crumble and less than an ounce of cheese. If you've read this blog much you'll know cheese is a real weak spot for me. I had plenty of lettuce, tomatoes and onion too. I topped with a little taco sauce.
Dinner was light so I sat a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake out to thaw and enjoyed it about an hour after dinner.
I got about 3 small walks in the longest was a little shy of 2 miles. I didn't make my 10k goal for the day. My meals were pretty healthy and I think, proper proportions with only a couple Nutrisystem items. I hit the gym again tomorrow. I'll check back then.
