I can't imagine eating a lot less than I do. I guess I just have one of those very stubborn systems. It's back to the gym today. I hope to catch a walk later too because it is nice and bright (but cold) out. The rain is giving us a break. We have flooding in the neighboring town, crazy out there!
As for breakfast; I poached another egg, heated one slice of Canadian bacon, sliced 1/3 of a small banana and toasted 1 slice of bread for the poached egg.
I had my usual 3 slices of Toscano salami. I know this is not the best snack but it is low cal for a small amount but sufficiently filling and requires zero effort. About an hour later I had a cup of coffee with 1 tablespoon cream.
I'm still in "no level of effort" mode. I heated the last Nutrisystem Grilled Chicken Sandwich. I think I have 2 or 3 "melts" left in the depths of my freezer and 1 tub of tortilla soup. After that, I'm out. My latest order seems to be sitting along the closed route 80 from Reno to the Bay Area. It could even be buried under a 30' pile of snow. Meanwhile I'll wing it. I served my lowly sandwich with some fresh orange bell pepper rings.
I still need a walk. It's about 2:00 and I'm feeling like my body is fighting something off. I haven't had so much as a cold in 3 years. I hope to keep it that way. If I do get out I'll bundle up. Meanwhile I made a fresh cup of hot coffee and drank it black.
I finally headed out for a walk. I walked a couple miles, enough to finish up my 10k steps for the day. I was hungry when I got back. I had about 2 tablespoons of chunky peanut butter.
The shelf-stable portion of my pending order seemed to have strayed off to the wrong part of California. Tracking shows it in Southern California, I'm in Northern and the shipment came from Reno. Good heavens! Tonight I poached some chicken breast. After my chicken was cooked and cooled I cubed it and piled some on top of some salad greens (not my usual field greens), dressed it with some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and kosher salt, and topped it with a little bit of blue cheese.
I always enjoy fresh food. I decided on a cup of coffee with cream after dinner. Later I had 1/3 cup 2% Fage Greek Yogurt with about a tablespoon of chopped nuts and 2 teaspoons honey.
I always feel good AFTER the gym. I'm glad I got my walk in too. My meals were pretty reasonable. I'll check my tracking tomorrow for my belated Nutrisystem order. Hopefully I'll receive it soon. Until then I'll keep winging it. I'll check back in tomorrow.
