I slept late today. I grabbed the last of my Nutrisystem Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffins. I popped it in the microwave then toasted it in the mini convection oven, per my usual routine.
After the gym I got right back to work on my project. I took a short break and made some fresh coffee then spiked my cup with some cream.
I need to run out and do some errands so I whipped up a Nutrisystem Pepperoni Pizza Melt and grabbed a cold, leftover broccoli spear from the refrigerator. I added about a teaspoon of mayo for dunking the broccoli.
I downed 3 Triscuits with Parmesan cheese chunks (about 1 ounce total). I also had a slice of Canadian bacon with mustard. Yes, odd combination but it tasted good. I've had a lot of exercise today and I got hungry.
So I tried something new tonight. I had the Nutrisystem Mac and Cheese with Turkey Sausage. It alleged to have cheddar cheese sauce. I need to have a serious discussion with the manufacturer because if that has cheddar in it I'll eat my hat (which would have probably tasted better). This is off my future food list for good. I threw about 1/3 of it away and I NEVER do that. The sauce was bland the pasta ribbons were mushy. The tiny bits of sausage were the only thing with flavor. This was a MRE entree and they tend to be not as good as the frozen and this one was no exception.
I tried adding a sprig of parsley to liven up the color and a grinding of pepper. No luck.
I didn't finish my dinner so a snack sounded good. I had a little bag of the Nutrichocolates (little slightly grainy discs of chocolate) with some bits of walnuts. I pretended it was See's Candy.
The gym was killer again. I got 3 walks in and it felt good. The new entree left much to be desired but I'm not going to bed hungry. Tomorrow is Saturday. Hope you all have some good R&R planned. See you then!
