So it's back to pre-gym basics today. I quickly prepped a Nutrisystem Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffin. I didn't even bother with an extra protein. That said, I almost wished I had because the trainer really had it in for us today. I think he was upset about the results of the game yesterday. He had a killer workout for us today!.
I was pretty hungry again by 9:30 so I frothed my usual Dr. Keith's Chocolate Cream protein drink. One of the main things I like about this drink is that it is not as icky sweet tasting at the Nutrisystem shakes and it has a real fiber boost.
I heated up a Nutrisystem Pepperoni Pizza Melt and served it with my usual field greens salad with olive oil, balsamic and kosher salt.
I'm still scrounging for snacks. I had a cup of coffee with cream and one bite of left over roasted turkey (about 1/4 ounce).
I heated an entree I've only had one other time, the Nutrisystem Chicken and Vegetable Stir-Fry. Sadly based on past experience there is a dearth of vegetables and flavor. This time I steamed some broccoli to add in and taking the advice from another review I also stirred in about 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. This improved the dish quite a bit. I added a little soy sauce too.
I ate early enough that a cup of coffee sounded good. I enjoyed it with a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake.
I got another short walk in before dinner but still felt short of my 10k steps (but close). I feel pretty good about my food choices. We are back to rain so I'm not sure how much walking I'll get in tomorrow. I'll check back in then.
