We headed off to the beach for breakfast. We headed to one of our favorite places and I had half of a half of a Italian salami and Provolone sandwich on a thin baguette.
I removed the entire top piece of baguette and only ate the bottom half and the meat and cheese.
When I got back home I had another cup of coffee with cream. I also prepared a deviled egg with my last hard boiled egg.
Given it is still cold (for me) a soup option sounded good. I pawed around in the drawer where I keep shelf stable foods and found a container of Nutrisystem Tortilla Soup. This is still a decent option although not as convenient as something I can just quickly heat.
I was hungry shortly after lunch for whatever reason. Peanut butter sounded good so I just dipped my small spoon in the peanut butter jar and slurped up about 2 tablespoons.
I actually tried something new. I prepared the Nutrisystem Fiesta Macaroni and Cheese. Honestly I didn't care for it at all. I didn't find a significant cheese flavor and It's really difficult to swallow mushy macaroni. It supposedly had a "nacho cheese" sauce but it didn't translate as that for my taste buds. I'll make sure not to order this again. Meanwhile I was hungry and it filled me up. I also prepped a quick field greens salad with the requisite olive oil, balsamic vinegar and kosher salt.
After dinner I got another walk in and finished up my 10k + steps for the day.
I decided to have something different for dessert. I had about 1/4 cup of Fage 2% yogurt with a teaspoon of honey and a couple of chopped walnut halves. This is an amazingly simple and yummy dessert.
I was happy to meet my exercise goal and even managed to drink a lot more water than I have of late. It was interesting to try a new Nutrisystem entree even though I didn't particularly care for it. Hope you all are having a good weekend. See you tomorrow, Superbowl Sunday!
