An unplanned for appointment allowed me to skip my workout today. After a couple of cups of coffee I whipped up a scrambled egg and a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread. Not a huge breakfast but given I'll be doing a lot of sitting today; sufficient.
I didn't plan very well so I had nothing to snack on, come snack time. Another snack skipped. I did have a fresh cup of coffee with cream when I got back home.
Today I tried something new, Nutrisystem-wise. I tried the Nutrisystem Black Beans and Rice. This is one of those meals that is dehydrated so you add water, microwave, let sit, etc. The flavor was fine. I would eat it again. I did give it a good dousing of Tabasco sauce.
For some reason sweets sounded good so I had 1/2 package of the Nutrisystem Vanilla Shortbread Cookies. The whole package is shown below but I only ate half.
My snack got a little out of control today. I started with about 1/2 ounce of Toscano salami but then I HAD to taste some Cambozola Grand blue cheese that was out of this world. I'm sure I had an ounce of it.
It was amazing I was even hungry after that "snack". I heated a Nutrisystem Chicken Parmesan. I sliced some cucumber to serve alongside. There is no way to make this dish look nice.
I polished off the remaining half of the Nutrisystem Vanilla Shortbread Cookies. They go best with coffee but I didn't want to drink coffee in the evening.
I'm glad I made it out for a walk earlier because I never made it out for another one. It was good to try something new, Nutrisystem-wise. I missed not working out. I will survive. Don't blink because it's almost February!
