Sunday January 15, 2017 Total Steps: 21,454 (walks) Total Calories: 1385 (estimated) Water Intake: 32oz Weight Loss: (-23.6 lbs loss total to date)
I bounced back up to what I weighed a couple days ago. No surprise given the salty stuff in my fried rice, not to mention the extra large portion I ate.
I'm using up bits of this and that so I scrambled one egg. I heated a little Portuguese sausage. I also had about 1/3 cup Fage 2% Greek Yogurt and sprinkled it with about 1/8 cup Anahola Granola.
I'm such a creature of habit. I had my usual ice coffee with about 2 tablespoons half and half. The walk to coffee is a mile each way. I feel no guilt at all given I kept walking and walked over six miles.
Walking 6 miles, some hills, in the heat can make you a bit hungry. Truth is I could have eaten my shoe. Instead I downed this Pork Belly Taco. Not the lowest calorie item on the menu but, hey, I was HUNgry! This was a share meal so I had one (not 2) tacos.
Given the fatty-fat taco I had I skipped my snack. After all my walking I did slug down a couple of glasses of ice water.
There is a BBQ place we've been wanting to try. I don't need the calories but I wanted to try something new. I believe true BBQ people would consider that to be beef and or pork and less so chicken. I'm just a real chicken person (my sincere apologies to live chickens everywhere which I love). My husband bought the "burnt ends" and I chose the 1/2 chicken (I could not, did not eat all that). The burnt ends are the thin ends of the brisket. They were just too done, too fatty for me. We also had the sauteed (roasted?) green beans which I enjoyed.
You can't even be thinking I'd have dessert! Ha, ok, maybe. But no, I didn't. I considered another walk but I got vetoed.
Close to 22k steps is a lot of steps. I had extra chicken at dinner time. Our bodies are so efficient. Even a small amount of extra calories makes a difference and it takes a lot of exercise to burn off even a few calories. Tomorrow is Monday, see you then!
