Bah humbug! Went up almost half a pound. Oh well!
I was off to parts unknown early so I heated some leftovers including some rice, about 1/4 cup, a thin slice of papaya, about 1/8th and a 2 little mesquite garlic rosemary grilled chicken drumettes from the other night.
This is hardly what I refer to as a meal and more like an act of desperation. I was really hungry, had just done my first 6k steps or so and succumb to a bag of Maui Style Potato Chips which spoke my name. I ate about half but plenty of calories for both a snack and lunch. Let us not speak of nutrition for that it was sorely lacking.
You can see I'm going with the meal combination theme for the day. I picked up a local grown steak with assorted other provisions. I'm going to marinate it using the same supplies I used for my chicken, garlic chili sauce fresh garlic, fresh ginger (that's new), olive oil and soy sauce, maybe a little sugar. I'll make some rice, and steam or saute some broccoli. I'll make a small salad out of the remaining (and going fast) watercress.
Dinner was pretty good but about an hour later dessert sounded even better. Given I've behaved myself pretty well I decided to let loose and eat some REAL dessert, local ice cream! The good news the walk was about 2 miles, 1 mile each way. I ate half of this small cup.
Exercise wise I did pretty well, water, not so good and food, um.. could have been better (or a lot worse). I don't have plans for tomorrow but I'll keep exercise at the top of the priority list right alongside better nutrition. It's the start of a long weekend, hope you all have some fun plans.
