I may not weigh for a week haha. Well, maybe. I didn't go crazy but I enjoyed my holiday meal.
I certainly started out on the right foot. I had some fresh French Roast coffee with a little bag of the Nutrisystem Biscotti Bites. I actually like these. I also had a few walnut halves to boost my protein a little.
My 95 year old aunt arrived about 10:30. I warmed some egg nog and sprinkled it with nutmeg. We sat around the TV watch the old Yule Log.
We had some simple cheese with some very good little crackers. We each just had a little. I didn't want us to fill up on cheese before dinner.
I really kept it simple given only three people eating and we'd still have a ton of leftovers. We had the basics, roast turkey, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. It was way-more than enough.
We can't have turkey in our house without making Pumpkin Chiffon Pie. It's a holiday essential.
I've done better and I've done worse. I'm not sure I'll be brave enough to hop on a scale in the morning, but I might. Tomorrow is our "left overs day". Everything not consumed by then is going into the freezer. Hope you all had a very Merry and Safe Christmas! Now we're headed to the New Year!
