Well, that could have been worse but I was a little surprised given my good activity yesterday and low calories.
I wanted a RFB (real food breakfast) today. I scrambled a quick egg, made a piece of toast with Dave's Killer skinny bread and heated a slice of Uncured Canadian bacon.
I reverted back to the cold version of my Dr. Keith's Chocolate Cream protein shake for my morning snack. The warm version just seems wrong.
Well this is NOT something Nutrisystem recommends but I skipped lunch. I was running so late and it was closer to dinner than lunch so I just made dinner a little early.
I had a couple radishes left so I polished those off; not much of a snack but tasted fresh and crisp.
Well of course I was pretty darn hungry. I steamed some green beans. I did my "dry saute" method mushrooms but I added some sherry instead of any water. I love sherried mushrooms.
I also made steak au poivre but with a variation. I didn't have an Cognac so I used sherry. It really tasted pretty darn good!. The steak was cooked perfectly, medium rare.
After dinner we took another walk so I was able to complete my 10k steps for the day.
I love the golden hue mushrooms take on when you cook them with sherry.
Even with the sherry and the cream in the sauce I think I was pretty good calorie wise so I finished off the day with a Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae. I like to microwave it for about 10-12 seconds which brings out the brownie flavor.
So this was not a traditional Nutrisystem meal day but I feel pretty good about the foods I ate. I got all my steps in for the day and my water intake was not too bad either. Let's see what tomorrow brings!
