I was hungry this morning. I did decide to go all protein for breakfast. I had 2 slices of uncured Canadian Bacon and 1 egg, fried. I don't typically fry eggs; not because I don't love them but because I have an uncanny ability (or lack of ability) to turn them over without breaking the yolks. I don't like broken yolks. Well, look at what I did to this poor egg. The yolk remained in tact but it was folded, not properly turned. **Sigh** perhaps one day I'll master this fundamental breakfast skill.
I did make it out the door after breakfast for a walk to the Farmer's market. I picked up more green beans, red bell pepper, cucumbers, and my custom salad greens mix. They even had baby kale today! I racked up my first 4800 steps so that's already double yesterday (although that bar was set pretty low). I didn't have much for a snack so I just had a cup of coffee with 1 tablespoon of fresh cream.
As I've mentioned my pickin's are slim for foods. I decided to eat one of the Nutrisystem BBQ Seasoned Chicken entrees atop a slice of my usual Killer Dave's skinny bread. This is a very unattractive meal that tastes OK.
I skipped my snack knowing I'm having a early "Flex dinner" out this evening before a concert.
We went to our usual pre-concert dinner spot and had our usual charcuterie plate. I ate about 3 of the little thin slices of baguette, about 2-3 ounces of the meats and a few bites of the cheese. Pardon the dark image, the place has very dim lighting.
The concert was Christmas themed and I got home close to 10pm so I didn't want to snack so close to bed time. Probably all the better.
I was very pleased to get all 11k steps in for the day. I did several smaller walks but they all add up. My meals were decent except for dinner but it was not really bad either. I'll get brave and weigh in the morning. Hope you have a great week, see you tomorrow (Monday).
