Weight Loss: -.2 (-21.2 lbs loss total to date)
That was a pleasant surprise. I inched down a little more (.2 lb).
It's workout day and I have to go in earlier than usual because of an appointment conflict. I slung together a quick breakfast including coffee, a heated Nutrisytem Cinnamon Streusel Muffin and about a half of a cup of Fage 2% Greek Yogurt. That should be sufficient go get me through my workout.
I guzzled my usual Dr. Keith's Chocolate Cream protein shake. It's cold while I drink it but it has a nice filling effect.
I'm trying to warm up so I heated the Nutrisystem Beans and Ham Soup. I still had a few salad greens left so I dressed those with my usual olive oil, balsamic vinegar and kosher salt. The flavor of this soup is good and I really like the beans. The only downside is the odd chewy texture of the ham.
I think I need to get off my skinny ham with mustard kick. I was going to have some cottage cheese and fresh vegetables but instead I ended up skipping my snack entirely.
Wow, here's a meal I hate to admit having. I had a nice meal planned but we ended up having some cheese and crackers instead. I imagine a lot of us have "trigger foods" and for me I realize that is "good cheese". Some Truffled Gouda managed to leap into my cart at Whole Foods yesterday. After missing my snack I thought some of that cheese and 4 crackers (60 calories) would not be too bad. One paper thin slice after another and the cheese was gone. It was two of us eating it, not that is any excuse. Thank heavens I bought the smallest piece they had in the pre-cut pile. It was about 5 ounces, total including rind. Needless to say I did not follow up that "meal" with a dessert.
While my day started out good from a culinary standpoint it did not end up being one of my better days. I never got out for a longer walk although I did take 2 shorter walks after my workout. There is always tomorrow! Hope you have a great weekend. See you then.
