I ate a bigger breakfast than normal. I heated a Nutrisystem Honey Wheat Bagel, a slice of Uncured Canadian Bacon and I scrambled one egg. I feel like I should go plough the north forty.
One appointment down, none more to go for the day. I did stop and make myself my usual Dr. Keith's Chocolate Cream protein shake. So far I have not made it out on any walks for the day.
It's cold out so something warm certainly sounded good. I decided to brave a Nutrisystem entree I have not yet tried. I heated the Nutrisystem Cheddar Broccoli Rice. The meal comes in a little circular box. To prepare it you simply shake it up, remove the lid, add water and microwave. Once that is done you let it steep covered for about 8 minutes. I'm always skeptical of these dehydrated foods but I was surprised; it was not bad! The first flavor that hit was that of the cheddar. Now this is not liked freshly grated cheddar but the cheddar one finds in boxed, dried foods. The broccoli was tiny flakes but that's all that is left when you dehydrate broccoli tips. It seemed fairly salty but that's not surprising. It was nice to have a rice dish. The portion is small but rice is high in calories so that's to be expected as well.
I had a single slice of my Kirkland Extra Lean Thin sliced ham, 25 calories. I didn't even bother with the mustard. Still no walk. It's cold out and I'm in the middle of a project. This "over focus" thing I do is frequently my excuse for not moving.
I really felt like a higher protein meal. I decided to eat my last Nutrisystem Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast. I also sliced some fresh cucumber just to serve cold. I lightly steamed some broccolini then gave it a quick saute with a little olive oil and fresh garlic. Everything is better with garlic.
Given I've barely moved today you'd have thought I'd forego my snack but, naw. I had one of the Kirkland Nut Bars (an almost equivalent of the Nutrisystem Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Nut Bar).
Wow this is the first time with zero walks in a long time. Not even 5k steps for the day. I can't let this become a habit. Tomorrow I hit the gym. Maybe I can make up for it. I'll check the scale for sure tomorrow. Meanwhile, have a good one and I'll see you Friday!
