I got the courage to hop on the scale. Not bad, up two tenths of a pound.
I have a disruptive schedule today so I'm in and out several times. Not my favorite kind of day. Knowing I'm not facing a workout I went ahead and had one of those "carby" Nutrisystem meals the Nutrisystem Biscotti Bites. For those of you who like eating cookies for breakfast you'll probably like them. They taste fine and have a nice crunch. I just think there are healthier things to eat. I augmented the biscotti with some Fage 2% Greek Yogurt.
For the sake of meal brevity I selected some raw cashew nuts for my snack. Nice and nutritious and requires no dirty dishes. For those of you that are not regular readers, one ounce is about 18 cashew nuts.
I have to down my lunch quickly before my next appointment. I'm going for whatever "melt" that leaps out of the freezer at me when I open the door. As it happened that was the Nutrisystem Meatball Parmesan Melt. After you've been eating these foods for a few months they all begin seeming very similar. It quenched my hunger. I served it with my typical field greens salad, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and kosher salt.
I have an appointment right around snack time so chances are this is going to get missed, again. And it was missed. I should have taken a dry snack with me but I'm just not that organized about food things.
My appointment ran late as usual. I decided to stop on the way home (I was walking) for something light at the local seafood restaurant. I treated myself to a bowl of steamed clams. Not too bad calorie wise. I dredged the bottom of the broth for all the garlic bits I could find. I made a mental note not to breath on anyone tomorrow at the gym. Of course I declined the offer of French bread and butter.
I was still hungry after my walk home. Gosh it was cold out and I was wearing a vest not a jacket. The good news was it made we walk at lot faster! I decided to have one of the Nutrisystem Sweet and Salty Snack Mix AND a few raw cashews. This was more calories than I should have had but at least healthy proteins.
It was a pretty civilized day food-wise. I'm still way under on my steps. I was afraid of this. I just have this aversion to walk outside when it is cold. My treadmill is in an unheated space as well. At least I have my 3 workouts each week. I'll have to try harder to get out there. Have a great Tuesday and see you Wednesday!
