And I'm back where I was weight wise despite my lack of steps yesterday. It pays to stay calm.
For some reason I just could not face another carb-laden Nutrisystem breakfast today so I went rogue and made my own. I scrambled eggs with a little ham and green onion. Then I served with a slice of Dave's Killer Powerseed skinny bread. The portions in the pan show are for 2. My plate shows my single serving. It hit the spot and was a nice divergence from all the muffins and waffles and so on.
I waited a little too long to take my pile of morning vitamins so my stomach was a little too empty. That makes my stomach not happy. I had a half of a cup of Fage 2% yogurt and that helped.
Later I hopped on the treadmill a couple of times and racked up about 2k steps. About 40 minutes later I had one other slice of the skinny ham then took off for a walk to town and back. That kicked my steps up to about 7K.
Even though I didn't dislike the taste of this entree it's really difficult to look at. That is the Nutrisystem Sweet BBQ Sauce with Pulled-Style Pork. I dutifully heated it up, plopped it atop of some Dave's Killer bread and served it with yet another field greens salad. I really loaded up my greens with baby kale and baby arugula so the salad is high in minerals and very flavorful.
It's not time for my snack as I type and I have to leave for an appointment. After my appointment I have to go vote. Thank heavens it's right up the street. Shouldn't take me too long. I don't think this snack is going to happen.
I had an unexpected dinner out last night. After voting we stopped in one of our favorite spots for "appetizers". We shared our usual charcuterie plate and some blistered shishito peppers. I estimated calories because I couldn't "weigh" how much I ate. That would be a site in a restaurant, me there with my scale, haha!
I felt like I ate conservatively so why begrudge myself a little dessert? I nurtured myself with a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake. It was a perfect treat for election night.
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men. I ended up with an unplanned flex meal. I'm sure this is Nutrisystem plan no-no but that's way things go. Those peppers were wonderful. Once again I'm low on steps because I never made it out for another walk. Blame on having to vote haha! Tomorrow we'll have a new President; it will be a new day. See you then!
