Wow, that was a surprise. After all my inactivity yesterday I expected my weight to be the same or maybe even up. Encouraging!
Breakfast is getting pretty boring. I popped a pair of Nutrisystem Buttermilk Waffles in the toaster and browned them lightly. I added a light drenching of warmed sugar free syrup. I was being really pokey this morning so I didn't have time to fix an egg or anything so I took off for my workout with nothing more than carbs.
I'm still being very careful with my work out. My trainer only gives me exercises that won't put more strain on my back and he monitors me (constantly) to make sure the exercises aren't hurting me. After my work out I took just a short walk. For whatever reason the walks are really killing my back. I had the same problem when I walked after dinner last night. This too shall pass, in time.
After my work out I heated 2 little slices of Canadian bacon (ham) 40 calories. I'm keeping up with my water drinking.
I'm real low on Nutrisystem foods so I added about a teaspoon of mayo to 2 ounces of canned tuna and served that with a slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread. It wasn't overly filling but good enough. I had a meeting to get to.
I had just enough time to grab some Toscano salami out of the frig. I had a quick 1/2 ounce but I ate another 1/2 ounce a little later. Even at a full ounce it's only 80 calories. The problem is it is high in sodium and Nutrisystem foods already have way more sodium than I'm used to eating.
Pickin's are slim for remaining frozen foods so I heated the Nutrisystem Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti, again. I used my regular convection oven but the chicken still had a gummy exterior coating. As usual I was hungry enough to eat it all anyway. I roasted some broccoli and sliced a tomato to serve alongside.
I'm so used to dessert now. I wonder how I'm going to deal with that when I'm eating on my own. We rarely eat dessert because I don't like making a big cake, pie, flan, or whatever with just two of us to eat it because we eat too much of it. I don't like the idea of continuing to eat processed things. Meanwhile I went ahead and chowed down on a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake.
If I stay on track I should be -15lbs by the end of this week or maybe mid next week. I like that I'm back at the gym and I'm getting my steps in as I can. My strength is still way less than it should be but at least I'm progressing. I feel encouraged!
