Wednesday October 12, 2016 Total Steps For Day: 8240 (work out + walk) Total Calories: 1379 calories (estimated) Weight Loss: .1 (-13 lbs loss total to date)
Well a tenth of a lb is better than nothing. I have hit my -13lbs mark and now I'm looking forward to being -15 down. But I'm getting way ahead of myself.
I'm headed out for a my first day back at the gym in almost 3 weeks. My back is not pain-free but it is way better. Pickings were a little slim this morning so I had one of my least favorite breakfast entrees, the Nutrisystem Turkey Ham and Cheese Omelet. I've had half of one of these twice now but this is the first time I've eaten a whole one. It will be the last time too. I will make sure I don't get these again. I tried dousing it with some La Victoria Medium Taco Sauce but even that didn't help. This dish is just not my thing. I did enjoy about a half of a cup of no-fat Fage Total 0 Greek Yogurt. It was a good thing I was off to my work out because I quickly forgot all about the icky omelet.
My work out went pretty well. I didn't do anything massively exertive but at least I did more than a daily walk. There was one exercised I tried that my body objected to so I stopped that immediately. After the gym I walked a few blocks around the neighborhood. So far so good, my back does not hurt more. I'm out of protein shakes so I just threw about a half of a cup of cottage cheese in a bowl and added a few fresh cherry tomatoes for looks and a little vegetable matter.
I'm still working on that pile of "melts" so today I had the Nutrisystem Four Cheese Melt, again. I also quartered a nice red plump tomato from the garden and dressed it with a little olive oil, red wine vinegar and some sliced fresh basil.
Today was one of those where if something could go wrong it did go wrong. My afternoon snack never happened.
I decided a flex meal was in order so we went out and shared a Charcuterie plate. I only have a few very thin slices of meat, about 1 ounce of cheese and 3 1/8" thick slices of warmed baguette. I could only guess at the calories but I don't think it was bad.
Given I had a civilized portion for dinner I treated myself with a Nutrisystem Orange Cream Bar for dessert.
I'm grateful for my total of 13 lbs lost to date. Losing weight so slowly and gradually makes it hard to see the difference. I notice it mostly in my clothing. I've still haven't gotten around to measuring which will be interesting for sure. I'll report back on that tomorrow.
