I have an early appointment so once again breakfast is hurried. I beginning to think I'm just always in a hurry. I'll have to give that some thought. Meanwhile I tossed my Nutrisystem Buttermilk Waffles in the mini convection/toaster oven. I nosed around the refrigerator and found a left over piece of pork chop from the other night. I weighed it, 1.1 ounce so I sliced it and added to my plate. I squirted about a 1/2" blob of Entube Harrisa paste on the plate to use as a dip for the pork.
I heated some Vermont Maple sugar free syrup and poured a little over my waffles. There you have it, breakfast.
I returned from my appointment and it was about time for a snack. I still had to write my blog for Day 52 so I grabbed 1 stick of Mozzarella String cheese and munched on that while I typed.
With yesterday's blog written and proofed (well as best I ever do myself) it was lunch time. I dug thought my seemingly endless pile of melts and pulled out a Nutrisystem Chicken and Mozzarella Melt. I've had this before and it's just OK. They all taste pretty similar or at least all the ones that contain a red sauce. The wrap part is seeming dryer these days. I do eat it all though because I don't want to get hungry. It's not as though it's offensive or inedible just not wonderful.
I added a few salad greens tossed with my usual olive oil and Balsamic vinegar and a few tomato slices.
I took a walk after lunch. For a snack I just had a few pieces of celery with some hummus that I kicked up with my Entube Harrisa chile paste.
Tonight I dined on more Nutrisystem Stuffed Shells with a salad of field greens with more olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This dish is surprisingly filling. I didn't get very creative with my salad but at least I ate one. I really do love salads I just don't always care for all the slicing and dicing involved in making a really good one.
I treated myself to a nice walk after dinner so I was able to get close to my 11K goal finishing up at 10,299 steps for the day. I'm still trying to lay low on exercise until my back makes a full recovery. My treat for being so good was the Nutrisystem Chocolate Brownie Sundae. It's funny but I find the "brownie bits" disturbing. I just don't care for that texture in the otherwise silky-smooth chocolate ice cream. Just personal preference of course I'm sure many people love it, bits and all.
The verdict from the specialist regarding my back was good. I can go back to working out "gently" letting my body be my guide; "if it hurts don't do it". I look forward to getting back in the swing of things. I didn't do anything too exciting food wise today but I remained well-fed. Hoping my scale has some better news tomorrow. I let you know when I know. Have a good one!
