Sunday, September 18, 2016 Total Steps For Day: 14,012 (walks) Total Calories: 1008 Weight Loss: .5lb (Total weight loss 8.1lbs)
So there you have it, I took a week off and I came back .5lb down. I'll take it! I didn't starve myself but I didn't pig out either. The fact is I've shrunk my stomach down and I can't eat a large volume of food even if I wanted too.
I need to measure given its been 30 days. I'll do that in the next day or so. I can tell my measurements have changed (for the better).
I'm out of breakfast foods I haven't tried yet so it is back to the Nutrisystem Turkey Sausage and Egg Muffin. I made a halfhearted attempt to make it look more interesting, clearly did not work. But it filled me up so that's all that matters.
The little tomato and the red bell pepper are fresh from the garden at least!
I was occupied so I didn't take time for my morning snack. I'll have my usual protein shake later.
Today I had one of the last remaining melts and a quick salad of things I grabbed out of the garden earlier today.
Finally, my Dr. Keith's Chocolate Cream shake. Somehow this drink always seems to be more satisfying than other snacks.
Dinner came before I even had time to really think about what to fix. Up until this week I had my entire week at a time planned so now I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. This evening I tried the Nutrisystem Chicken Enchilada. I missed one of my extra proteins (Powerfuels) today so I decided to use some Mozzarella Fresca I had in the frig. I topped my fresh tomato slices with 1 1/2 ounces of the cheese and added a basil leaf. There you have it, dinner!
So back to the chicken enchilada. The most conspicuous thing missing was the chicken! I did find a few little pieces in one of the two enchiladas. The flavor was OK. I could not get the enchiladas out of the little plastic container (do you think they expect people to eat out of that?) By the time I forced them onto my plate they didn't present really well. It mattered not, I was hungry. They tasted more like rice enchiladas to me, but the flavor of the corn tortilla came through, which was nice. If I ordered these again it would only be to keep some variety in my meals.
For dessert tonight I opted for the Nutrisystem Orange Cream Bar. This bar is a close runner up for my favorite ice cream dessert that Nutrisystem offers. I selected it because it is only 90 calories and I thought maybe combined with the extra cheese for dinner I better ease up a bit. It was tasty and refreshing as usual.
I'm still playing catch up with laundry and various chores; those little punishments one receives for playing hooky from real life for a week. I feel as though I'm back on track eating wise, look forward to seeing that scale inch downwards. Ciao for now!
