I have to admit I'm totally off track. This is the first time I've weighed for over a week. I can tell by how I feel and how my clothes fit that I've gained weight. I haven't been getting a 2nd walk in most days (including today). Now that my "true confessions" are over (haha) here's how today went.
It's gym day so I made my standard gym-day breakfast. I had 1/2 cup of Fage 2% Greek Yogurt, 1/4 of marble-sized blueberries and 1/4 cup of a generic granola (lowest sugar I could find). I made it to the gym right at 7:00am. It's so cool these days that I have to wear a jacket while walking to the gym. Our exercises were grueling today so I warmed up quickly.
After gym I took my usual few-block walk.
I wasn't ravenous after gym but I was a little hungry. I made my usual Nutrisystem Turbo Chocolate Shake. Later I felt a little "snacky" and so I had a stick of light string cheese.
I'm trying to get back on track with portion sizes. I heated a Nutrisystem Hamburger and topped it with some mustard, tomato and red onion. I also tossed some field greens with a little olive oil, kosher salt and pepper.
I eventually had a cup of coffee with real cream. Sadly, I purchased a large can of roasted, salted peanuts the other day and I couldn't resist eating about an ounce of them.
I stuck with Nutrisystem food for dinner. I had a Nutrisystem Mushroom Stuffed Chicken Breast, another field greens salad but this time I have a few slices of beets, some green onions, sunflower seed kernels and some Bolthouse Bold Blue Cheese Greek yogurt dressing.
I really didn't "need" dessert but there is no sense in going from overeating to deprivation mode. I thawed a Nutrisystem Chocolate Cupcake, one of my old Nutrisystem favorites. They taste much better than they look.
I'm not going to belabor the fact I've been off track Instead, I'm taking steps to get back on track. The holidays are coming up so I know I'll have some "off days" but I think all will be well. I'll be trying to write more regularly again which is part of the healthy living process for me. Have a great week!
