Even though it wasn't a gym day I ate my old staple breakfast of Fage 2% yogurt, fresh blueberries and some Nutrisystem Granola Cereal. I had some chores around the yard to complete so I wanted a decent breakfast. I had my usual couple of cups of black coffee.
I was busy so snack time came and went. At some point I had another cup of black coffee. I told myself I'd lay off the raw cashew nuts today.
For lunch I had a half sandwich consisting of 1 slice of Swiss cheese, 1 slice of Dave's Killer skinny bread and a little mayo and lettuce.
After lunch I had a cup of iced black coffee then I took my one and only walk of the day. By the time I got back I had already exceeded my step goal for the day.
I was too lazy to cook this evening. I heated a Nutrisystem Roasted Turkey Medallions with Mashed Potatoes and I had a tiny slice of old fashioned jellied cranberry sauce and a big salad. My salad was a good couple of cups of arugula, some sliced avocado (from Peru) and some tomato, the last from my garden. I dressed the salad with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar (and kosher salt).
I had two little pieces of chocolate, about 47 calories. Later in the evening I got a little hungry. I could have, should have, ignored it but instead I had about 1/3 cup of Fage 2% yogurt with about 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 tablespoon chopped raw walnuts. I love that for a dessert.
All those steps one takes when doing yard work really add up. When combined with my late afternoon walk to the post office I went well over 11k for the day. My calories for the day were probably at least 100 over my goal. I shall do better tomorrow!
On a note more serious and important; we continue to pray for the victims and families of the insane Las Vegas killings. There seems to be no cure for crazy.
