Staying true to form I made my typical pre-gym breakfast. I had to wolf it down because I got up late. I threw a quick dollop of Fage 2% yogurt in a bowl with a few blue berries and a tiny bit of my seedy granola (which I'm now out of).
I made it to the gym right at 7am. After the gym I took my usual short walk, came back and had a Nutrisystem Chocolate Turbo Shake.
I can't believe I'm still using up these Nutrisystem melts but I am. Today I had the newer Chicken Pot Pie melt. The flavor is right but there is something about the texture of bits of potato wrapped in a bread-like dough. Nevertheless it was filling. I had one last cucumber in the frig so I peeled and sliced it into cucumber logs.
I decided on having some iced coffee with real cream which sufficed as a snack.
There is a dish I've been wanting to make again that I haven't had in a long time. It's my Easy Chicken Parmesan. I shouldn't say "my" recipe because I've seen it, or variations of it all over the web. I served with the spinach leftover from the recipe and I roasted a little red potato.
Dinner was pretty filling so I skipped dessert. I did get one more short walk in which helped me to meet my 10K + goal.
Gym was tough as usual but for some reason I felt like I lacked my usual energy today. But all told it was a good day. Breakfast was a little meager and dinner was more calories than normal but hopefully it will balance out. See you tomorrow.
