I woke up feeling pretty decent and for whatever reason I didn't feel like eating any more eggs or yogurt or granola. I still had a couple of these whole wheat, high fiber tortillas to use up. I also had a little piece of steak to use up. I did a quick fajita-like saute with the steak, salt, pepper, garlic, scallion and red bell pepper. I topped the tortilla with the mixture and slathered on a little Victoria taco sauce. I didn't use any cheese (for once) which helped to keep the calories more in line for "healthy eating".
I headed out for a walk shortly after breakfast. I only got about 5000 steps in, that was about all I was up to for so far today. It was really warming up already so I had a nice glass of black ice coffee when I returned.
I wasn't terribly hungry at lunch time so I just had about 1/2 cup of leftover fried rice.
I headed out for another walk in the afternoon to fetch a few things I needed for dinner. It was enough to kick me over the 10k step mark. I didn't have a snack.
I had some chicken thighs to use up so I baked them as I typically do with salt, pepper, garlic, chile powder and some sesame seeds. Then I made a Fresh Peach Salsa to serve alongside. I also had some corn on the cob kicking around in the refrigerator that needed to be used up. My appetite wasn't great so I ate the corn and a just a couple of bites of chicken. I loved the fresh peach salsa!
Even though I couldn't finish my dinner I did have 3 Hershey's nuggets (with almond) later in the evening.
Any day where I get all my steps in and I manage not to eat a lot of cheese is a good day in my book! Tomorrow is gym day. See you then!
