We were headed for a good hike in the morning but we were not sure if it was flat or real steep or what. It ended up being really steep. If I'd known that I would have eaten a more hearty breakfast. I had a little mini quiche (like 3 bites) and a slice of a pumpkin nut bread. I had a couple of cups of black coffee too.
The first part of the walk was about 2.5 miles with a lot of steep hills. Once we got to the top we had another 30 minute walk, some hills, some flat, to our lunch destination.
We were a little early for lunch so we sat on the deck and had a big fat cappuccino which was more like a bucket of coffee with foam. It tasted great it was just enough for at least 2 people. I drank about half
Given we were early we sat out on one more short walk, well, another mile and half. By the time we got back to the restaurant we were both pretty tired and hungry. I rarely eat a whole meal but I ate all of a giant hamburger with cheese (minus 2/3 of the bread) and most of my side green salad. It tasted great! It's nice to be that hungry.
There was a shuttle you can take to get back to the area that we hiked up. We decided to take it as we still had a couple mile hike left back to where we were staying. Lunch was filling so no snack needed.
We didn't really have "dinner" but more of a snack. The hotel offered a nice cheese, bread, fruit snack which we enjoyed as dinner. I'd be going to bed early because I was pretty tired from the over 7 mile hike we took.
I was too tired to care about dessert.
It was fun to have hiked that much. Even though I walk a lot I don't usually do steep climbs. Tomorrow will be mostly traveling back home. Hopefully I'll get some walking in too.
