I had a little time so I decided to head out for a couple of days, get some R&R in. We headed south and stopped for a morning "sandwich", our usual. I had half and stowed the rest away to have later. I still discard 1/2 of the bread to keep my carb count down.
We had another hour or so drive to get to our destination so there was no stopping at snack time.
We were planning on an early dinner so we didn't want much for lunch. We decided to stop at a little place where they make a pretty darn good Key Lime Pie. I had coffee and a few bites of pie and my husband, bless his heart, ate the rest.
We finally arrived at our destination and headed out for a walk. We didn't bother with a snack.
We decided to sit outside even though it was kind of cool out. We shared a chicken quesadilla which was "ok". A salad would have been healthier but hey, I'm on a "mini vacation".
Rather than eating more we got another walk in. It was cool enough to need a long sleeve shirt.
This was a nice day off. It's nice to be in cooler weather given we've had so many hot days this summer. Tomorrow we plan to get a good hike in and maybe I can work off some the calories I consumed today; we shall see.
