No gym on the weekends! We headed out to the beach to one of our favorite breakfast spots. There are items on the menu that are my go-to faves but today I tried something new. This is called the Flying Sombrero. It was heaven in my mouth! It consists of two corn tortillas with a thin layer of melted cheese. This is topped with two eggs, over easy and salsa. It was served with house made black beans, sliced avocado and a little sour cream and a bed of shredded white cabbage. I passed on the sour cream (not that I don't like it) but you have to draw the line somewhere if you are terminally weight watching. Of course I didn't eat it all but I did a good job eating about half of it.
I had a couple of errands to run so I didn't make it down to the beach. We eventually headed back home. I was way-full so I didn't want a snack.
I stayed so full I didn't want any lunch or snack either.
I had little chores all afternoon so it was easy to breeze through snack time without stopping. I did make a trek to the grocery store for supplies for dinner.
I was definitely hungry by dinner time but I really didn't feel like spending a lot of time cooking. I decided to just throw some chicken thighs in the oven with my usual mixture of garlic, chile powder and sesame seeds. I also had an ear of corn to use so I steamed that and had half.
I was pretty full from dinner. I didn't care for any additional snack or dessert.
It was hot today and I just didn't make it out for a 2nd walk so I did not get my 10k steps in. I don't feel too bad because I do MOST of the time. I didn't really eat a lot today but what I had was GOOD!
