No gym today and I was feeling a little indifferent about breakfast. I knew it just had to be something a little bland and simple. I heated 1/2 cup cooked rice in the microwave and topped it with about 2 teaspoons of butter and a grinding of fresh pepper. I was still a little hungry and wanted something with some fiber and nutrients so I had about 1/4 cup of fresh raspberries (which were fading fast) and 1 tablespoon of cream.
I headed out early for some errands and I was a little hungry when I got back. I still had some of my poached chicken left over so I just cut a couple of slices of that, maybe 1/2 to 3/4 ounce. It tasted "OK" but not great. I headed out for a walk.
My appetite perked up a little around 11ish when I returned from my walk. I should have eaten something while I was out but I lacked inspiration. I drove back to town and ate at my fave fresh Mex place again. Chile Verde and rice sounded perfect! I was just happy to have my "spice" appetite back. I couldn't believe I could polish off half of it but I did! I even ate a corn tortilla with it. I brought the rest home and it will either be a future dinner or lunch.
Lunch was pretty filling so I really didn't even want a snack.
The lazies set in around dinner time. After a nice satisfying lunch I didn't feel the need for a lot of dinner. I heated up some remaining leftover spaghetti and served it with my leftover homemade sauce with meat and mushrooms. I topped with a little fresh grated Parmesan and a sprinkling of red pepper flakes. I felt compelled to have a salad even though I'd have been content with the spaghetti.
I didn't want anything to eat dessert-wise but again I'm avoiding sugary things in general. I did take a real short walk, just to get some fresh air. Later in the evening I did have one ounce total of raw almonds and raw cashews.
I didn't eat a lot today but I stuck with pretty healthy stuff. Breakfast was skimpy but it seemed to be enough. My nutritional breakdown for the day was:
41% carbs 43% fat 16% protein. That was more carb than I'd like but not real bad.
