It's gym morning so this calls for yet another pre-gym breakfast of Greek yogurt, fresh berries (raspberries today) and a new granola with flax seeds. Aside from the fact those little flax seeds get caught in ones teeth, the granola was good.
I had my usual after-gym short walk. When I got back from gym (still feeling OK) I had a 1/4 portion of a Nutrisystem Chocolate Turbo Shake.
I was hungry but not up for a lot of food. I pulled last night's pork chop and apple leftovers from the refrigerator and heater that up in the microwave. It was plenty to eat.
I wasn't terribly hungry but I did want a small snack. Cheese and crackers still sound appealing. I had 2 mini rosemary croccantini (crackers) with about 2 ounces of English cheddar. I headed out for a 2nd walk. When I got back I did a few little garden chores then completed some tasks on the computer.
I wasn't sure what sounded good to eat. I decided I wanted to avoid spicy although that is typically my food group of choice, spicy things. I decided on one of my favorite uses for spaghetti which is topped with a little great quality olive oil, a little freshly ground Parmesan cheese, a bit of chopped fresh Italian parsley and a couple of grindings of fresh pepper. I love serving pasta in these cool oversized bowls given to me from an old elderly friend.
The pasta was perfect and I even ate about 1/4 cup more for seconds. Additionally I had a few slices of avocado (good healthy fats) with a little balsamic vinegar.
Dinner was more than enough food for the evening. I did have a few glasses of cold water.
I wasn't sure, even with gym that I'd get all my steps in but got them all plus 3k more. I'd say all in all my meals were pretty healthy. It was a good day for sure!
