The State of California and FEMA have started the consolidated debris removal program. Homeowners needing debris cleared simply have to download and fill out a right-of-entry form so crews can begin their work. The program costs owners nothing. But they must complete the required form. Find it at wildfirerecovery.org or phone a designated county official. Deadlines to return the form or opt out of the program are looming, so quick action is critical to your community’s recovery from the recent wildfires.
You should fill out the form even if you have insurance that will be covering debris removal.
