Ko'olau Distillery, located in Kailua, Hawaii, typically produces Old Pali Road Whiskey, but today they announced they are switching production over to making the base for hand sanitizer. This is not a for-profit venture, but in fact, they will be providing the product free of charge to first-responders, health workers, and essential civil service personnel in Hawaii.
The distillery is one of several companies in the U.S. that have switched production to fill a need for hand sanitizer, which flew off the shelves from stores across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This movement is an excellent example of companies stepping up in a time of crisis to contribute to the greater good. Let's all remember them and help them out too.
Eight Oaks Distillery - New Tripoli, Pa - they are taking donations to help offset the costs of producing hand sanitizer that will be sold for the price of "whatever people can donate."
