Jarro Chocolatero - This is the traditional clay jarro used in Oaxaca for the preparation of Mexican Hot Chocolate. The ingredients are added to the pot then whisked with a molinillo. The Oaxacan pot is distinguished by its tall handle and is decorated with a dark green glaze typical to the Oaxacan region The bottom of the pot is natural clay and the top and interior is a traditional green lead-free glaze. Dimensions (approx). Pot 9" to top of rim and 11" high to top of handle. Width at widest part of pot approx. 8 1/2" in diameter. Capacity about 14 cups just to lip, 12 cups to top of round body Hand made, each piece is unique in size, color, glaze, style Lead free. Matching Chocolate mugs are available, priced separately.
