Boursin and Vegetable Spring Rolls by the Boursin Cheese Company

Boursin Spring Rolls

I N G R E D I E N T S
8 Spring-roll sheets
3.5 oz. turnips, cut into thin strips
7 oz. onions, sliced
1 package tofu
3.5 oz. carrots
1 oz. leeks (cut into fine pieces)
1 5.2 oz. box Boursin Garlic & Herbs Cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste

I N S T R U C T I O N S 
Slice the tofu into thin strips and sauté in olive oil until browned.  In a separate pan, heat olive oil and stir-fry onions, carrots and turnips until soft.  Add tofu and leeks and season with salt and pepper to taste.  Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for a few minutes.  Add Boursin into the mixture and divide resulting mixture equally into each spring roll sheet and wrap them.  Deep fry for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.

 

Spring Rolls 
Originally an invention of the Chinese, Spring Rolls "chun juan" were made from the early spring vegetable crop, wrapped in thin crepe-like sheets and fried.  This basic dish has been since adapted by other Asian and Western cultures.  The Vietnamese use the rice based wrapper that you can find in most grocery stores.   Another related version is Lumpia common in the Philippines.
