Mexican molcajete y tejolote in a "chico" or "little" size, perfect for grinding a few nuts, seeds, herbs or garlic. It is Size: average is 5 - 5 1/2 " wide by 3" to 4" high. Average weight, 2 to 3 pounds. Capacity about 1/4 to 1/2 cup. Please note this is a very small molcajete suitable for very small tasks. It is the "black, or negro" lava stone, the preferred Mexican molcajete material. If you are making salsas, guacamole, or mole sauces then please see our large molcajete.
