Authentic Molcajete y Tejolote from Mexico made of basalt (lava stone bowl and pestle).. Ample capacity for grinding spices, tomatoes, tomatillos and for making your own Molcajete Salsa and Molcajete Guacamole. These are hand crafted stone, each is unique in size, color, and shape--dimensions and weight will vary.

Molcajete (approx. 2 1/2 - 3 cups) and pestle (tejolote)
Natural bristle escobeta (brush) for cleaning

What To Expect

Actual stone color may vary from piece shown - from light beige to dark grey

Light or darker color patches (mineral variations) may appear randomly on bowl or legs (see example)

Minor imperfections may exist on narrow part of leg edges or leg bottoms

Handmade, actual dimensions will vary, about 7 1/2 to 8" wide x 4 1/2"h. Weight 8 - 13lbs.

A minimum capacity of 2 1/2 to 3+ cups (holds about 3 medium (7oz) avocados). Interior bowl will provide a sturdy grinding surface
