This is a delicately hand painted tiny floral and insect pot de creme cup with matching saucer from the Helena Wolfsohn design studio in Dresden, Germany. Both the cup and saucer are marked with the AR mark however the mark was copied extensively so without documentation it would be hard to know if the work is from the Wolfsohn studio. That said the quality appears to be superior and even the copies at the time were excellent quality.
The background on the cup and saucer is basic white and the tiny flowers and leaves are pastel colors. The flowers are raised and each carefully painted to bring out the dimension.
The Wolfsohn studio produced fine porcelain of all types including dinnerware, urns, and even statuary starting in 1843. The last proprietor of the factory closed around 1949.
